I made this Ladybug Diaper Cake for a friend I met through a group of ladies that I get together with every so often throughout the year.  We started out as a Bunco group and we've evolved to making these gatherings more as a Girls Night Out.  I ended up with a cold the weekend of Baby Ashton's Baby Shower and was unable to attend, so I made this after baby arrived (she was a month early but healthy!) and took it to our Girls Night this past week.

Fox Diaper Cake

Recently, another one of our neighbors had their second baby, a boy named Kal, in late October.  I had planned to have this one completed in time for baby but he came a couple weeks early.  I used size 2 diapers for this cake since baby was already 9 lbs at birth!  Looking forward to seeing Kal join the rest of the neighborhood kids on our street.

Pink Monkey Diaper Cake

Recently, one of our neighbors had their second baby girl, AnnaBeth, in October.  It's been a busy time for me recently, so I was little late in making their gift.  I used size 2 diapers for this cake since baby is now a month old.  Looking forward to seeing one of our newest neighbors grow up and playing with the other kids on our street.

Owl Diaper Cake

I love that I specialize in making custom diaper cakes. With "owls" being the hot new baby boy item in the past year, I've received several requests for Owl themed diaper cakes. And everyone loves this owl stroller toy from Skip-Hop!  But I love that I can make each owl cake I make different.  Making simple changes with blankets or flowers makes each cake unique.

Bluebell Towel Cake

I got another opportunity to make a cake for one of my repeat customers.  She asked me to do a towel cake for her friend's bridal shower.  I got the registry information and went to work.  Finding the towels proved difficult as they were being discontinued but after a few calls, I was able to find some stores that were still carrying them!

Owl Diaper Cake

Another Owl Diaper Cake - whew, these owls are popular!!  Overall, this is the 5th Owl Diaper Cake I've created and 3 of those using the same Owl Stroller Toy.  I love that I can use some of the same items but make each cake unique at the same time.  I've never made the same cake twice (although, these two made for twin boys were pretty close)!

My former neighbor messaged me about making an Owl Diaper Cake for her co-worker.  With a short timeframe and knowing I had some long hours ahead of me at my full-time job, it was helpful that I actually already had everything to make this cake on hand except the owl stroller toy.  Luckily, the store I had purchased this toy from before had them in stock (unlike the last time I was looking for it).  Everything came together beautifully!

Baby should already be enjoying this cake as momma apparently went into labor the day of this shower!  I wish all the best to this family and their newest baby boy member!

Wilson Soccer Diaper Cake

My co-worker asked me to make this cake for her daughter's friend who is expecting a baby boy - Baby Wilson.  Mommy-to-be loves soccer, so making a soccer themed cake was the perfect way to share her passion!  The theme for this baby shower is "Ready to Pop," so I was asked to add green and blue polka dotted receiving blankets - which was the perfect way to add some color to this cake.  And of course, Wilson needed his very first soccer ball to go with it!

Twin Elephants Diaper Cakes

I did this cake for a lovely lady in town who got my name from her friend whom I've done a few cakes for over the last couple years.  She wanted two fairly identical elephant cakes for twin boys.  I knew from the beginning what blankets I wanted to use for these cakes since I had already seen these in the store so it was just a matter of finding the right toppers.  After a little research, I found out there were matching cuddle blankets only available online (none were in stores around me) - so I ordered them!

Each cake has the same number of ingredients in them.  The only difference between the two are the blankets used in the top tiers - one with stripes and the other with polka dots.

I LOVED how these turned out and so did she!  All the best to mom, dad, and their Baker Boys!

Owl Diaper Cake

A previous Owl Diaper Cake I did a few months ago was spotted on Pinterest by a lady in Kansas.  She loved the owl topper which is actually a stroller toy.  I went to get the toy from the store I had previously purchased it and they didn't have it!  Luckily, they were able to order it for me and have it shipped to my home and a few days later, I had what I needed!  She also wanted to incorporate gray and turquoise.  I found the perfect receiving blankets to compliment.

Horse Diaper Cake

I was asked to do a horse themed cake because 2014 is the year of the horse on the Chinese calendar - and I only had a couple days to do it!  Since I started making diaper cakes, I've realized that baby themes are very trendy and I always worry I won't find the items that are specifically asked for when I do a cake.  Some are easier than others, but with the help of the Internet, and a trip to a couple stores, I found what I needed to make this cake come together!

It was great to hear that momma-to-be LOVED the gift!

Owl Diaper Cake

I'm always excited when someone finds my blog locally!  The request was for a simple owl cake and the owl wood carvings for the front.  I was afraid I wouldn't be able to find the owls in anything but pink (which is the going trend recently), but luckily, after a couple stores, I found them - and they went perfectly with the ribbon I had already picked out!  The colors came together quite nicely!

With lots of beads, sparkly masks... this cake is simply screaming... Mardi Gras!

A long-time friend - as far back as elementary school - asked me a make this cake for her friend from New Orleans.  The baby gender isn't known, so my goal was to keep it gender neutral.  This cake certainly is fun!

Flower Bunny Diaper Cake

A good friend of mine asked me a make this diaper cake for her.  She supplied all the gifts - the bunny, hippo rattle, washcloths, baby bar and baby powder - and the ribbon as well!  My job at that point was to put it all together to make a beautiful diaper cake.  I added the receiving blankets to the mix and this turned out to be one of my favorites!  I wasn't sure how to best incorporate the washcloths - then I went to the Internet to learn how to make them into flowers!  After a few tutorials, I had 8 flower washcloths made!  They weren't easy, but I love the final result!

Little Man Diaper Cake

This adorable Little Man Diaper Cake was made for someone who found my page on Facebook!  It eventually made it's way down to Atlanta, GA.

I incorporated the black and white ribbon to give the cake a tuxedo appearance with the mustache and bow tie.  Perfect for the newest "Little Man"... Baby Jaxson!
